PHANTASM Screened at a Sold Out Funeral Home
Over the weekend, the original PHANTASM rose again this time in a setting as eerie and atmospheric as the film itself. Fans packed into a real, functioning funeral home for a sold-out screening of Don Coscarelli’s cult classic.
Hosted by Ross Hollywood Chapel Funeral Home and brought to (after) life by the nefariously creative mind of Dan Halstead in partnership with Portland’s Hollywood Theatre, the event transformed the chapel into a cinematic crypt complete with candlelight, velvet drapery, and gothic decor.
Attendees gathered for a one-of-a-kind experience that blurred the line between the living and the cinematic undead. Between screenings, guests posed for macabre photo ops including an open coffin setup that would make the Tall Man proud.
