Horror movies are one of the most popular forms of entertainment, yet they have long been missing from the world's museums. Seeing horror celebrated, and on view, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles is absolutely phantastic!
Even better, a Phantasm sphere prop is displayed alongside other iconic imagery from classic horror films, including Bela Lugosi's cape from Dracula (1931). It's a sight that will bring a huge smile to every Phantasm fan.
Our thanks to the curatorial team at the Academy, including Nicholas Barlow, Amy Homma and Jessica Niebel, for celebrating our favorite art form.
See the Academy's The Horror Show, now on display until June 2027.
